Starting Point:Brasov

Departure time: 09:00 AM, after being picked up from your hotel, enjoy a comfortable drive through the Transylvanian countryside, with views of rolling hills, quaint villages, and traditional rural landscapes

1. Sighisoara: The Medieval Jewel of Transylvania

     One of the most beautiful and well-preserved medieval towns in Europe. The town's historical center, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a time capsule from the 16th century, complete with cobbled streets, towers, and medieval architecture

Main Attraction:

• Dracula’s Birthplace: The house where Vlad the Impaler (known as Dracula) was born in 1431, now a museum showcasing artifacts from the medieval period.
• The Clock Tower: A prominent landmark and museum, offering great views of the town from the top.
• The Church on the Hill (Biserica din Deal): A stunning church located on top of the hill, with an impressive interior and a panoramic view of the town.
• The Covered Staircase: A wooden, covered staircase, originally built to help students climb to the school on the hill, beautifully preserved and one of the iconic sights in Sighisoara.
• The Stag House (Casa Stagului): A lovely example of the 16th-century Saxon architecture, often used for cultural exhibitions.
• The Citadel Walls and Towers: Walk along the medieval walls and explore the fortified towers such as The Tinsmith Tower and The Butchers' Tower, which helped protect the city during the medieval period.
   

Free Time in Sighisoara

  After your guided walking tour, enjoy some free time to explore Sighisoara on your own. You can shop for local crafts, try traditional foods, or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the town’s squares and streets

2. Viscri - after a refreshing break, the tour continues to Viscri, a picturesque village known for its historic charm and fortified church, one of the six Saxon churches in Romania listed as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Main Attraction:

• Fortified Church: The Viscri Fortified Church is a well-preserved example of Saxon architecture and a highlight of rural Transylvania. The church is surrounded by thick walls and defensive towers, offering a glimpse into the medieval way of life. The village itself remains relatively unchanged over the centuries, maintaining its traditional charm.
• The Village: Take a walk around Viscri village, known for its whitewashed houses, cobbled streets, and rural atmosphere. The village was a significant settlement for the Saxons, and many of its homes are still owned by descendants of the original Saxon inhabitants.
   

Optional Visit to the Prince of Wales' House:

    If time permits, you can visit the home of Charles, Prince of Wales, who has a strong connection to the village and has supported its preservation. He owns a house in Viscri and frequently promotes the village’s traditional lifestyle and conservation efforts.

6. Return to Brasov

     After visiting Viscri, relax and enjoy the scenic drive back to Brașov, passing through more picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes You’ll arrive back in Brașov around 7:00 PM, where your tour concludes. Feel free to spend the evening exploring Brașov's medieval town center or enjoy a delicious dinner at one of the city’s fine restaurants
