The White and Black Tower

Most of the Brasov's defensive fortifications were constructed between 1400 and 1650, when outer and inner walls were erected, together with the defense towers and gates.

The White Tower was built in 1494 and tourists can visit it by climbing approximately 200 stairs but they worth it, as from the top of the tower they can have an amazing view over the old town.

The Black Tower was also buit in 1494 and received its name after a fire when it was struck by lightning. The tower houses a small war artifacts museum and from the top of the tower tourists can admire the well-known Black Church.
